Harlem Yu* is a Taiwanese singer-songwriter, television host and businessman. He's been one of the first artists in the Mandopop music industry to experiment with R&B and rap.

He has recorded over 15 albums, since 1986, hosted TV shows since 1994, and been as a coach for three seasons of The Voice of China and three seasons of Sing! China.

His business life covers investment in the Mega force studio, the AoBa Taiwanese cuisine restaurant, and the Legacy Taipei (Livehouse).

Harlem Yu is particularly well-known for singing the theme song for the television drama, Meteor Garden (2001): Qing Fei De Yi (情非得已). You would see him in the last episode, performing the song as a street artist. He remade the scene for the new 2018 release of Meteor Garden.

The song is very likeable, a joyful and light rhythm that speaks of the essence of Meteor Garden's story: that precarious balance between the joy of falling in love and the fear of suffering for it. Totally to the point.
