F4 (Flower Four) was a Taiwanese boy band, formed in 2001 after the wide success of the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, that they starred in. The group's name, in fact, originated from the way how the 4 were called in this drama: they played the four major families' heirs in the city.

Later on, Jerry Yan, Van Ness Wu, Ken Chu (Zhu), and Vic Chou, due to copyright issues, changed their name to JVKV, using the descending age of the initials of its members.

Together they released three albums:

Meteor Rain (2001),

Fantasy 4ever (2002),

Waiting for You (2007).

They became famous all over Asia (Taiwan, Philippines, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea).

Their last performance, as a group, was in 2013. Meanwhile, they kept growing their own career paths and continued singing alone and performing in Tv series and movies.

I discovered F4 when I was a college student, learning Chinese.

At a magazines' store in the Chinatown of Milan, this weird girl randomly picked a music CD (theirs) and, from there on, it has been pure love.

I have, since then, crashed the internet looking for any sort of information about them: videos, cd, dvd, magazines, etc.. I met wonderful girlfriends, who shared the same sick love for the F4 and then went to my first trip to Asia with this purpose in mind: finding Ken Chu and marrying him. Forget that movie "I will marry Simon Le Bon", babe! Here I come!

20 years later, I am married to a fantastic American guy and I have never met Ken Chu, but I still listen to the F4's songs and love watching all those old videos that make me laugh as if I were tenderly watching my dear brothers having fun together.

Learning their songs has represented a sweet time of my life, and helped me a lot also in learning some more words in Chinese and in practicing my pronunciation.
