Every big city I visit, I make sure to check if there's a Chinatown district to check out!

1 - MILAN, PAOLO SARPI, ITALY

My first Chinatown ever, a long experience, lived with a big smile and a big heart.

When I started studying Chinese language in Milan, back in... oh well, who remembers!... Paolo Sarpi street and the surroundings were my first source of a real Chinese life: people, food, stores, magazines, dvds, music... I loved going there, strolling around and looking for gems in the shops! That was the time I discovered about my dear F4!

2 - LONDON, UK

Well, London's Chinatown was a bit disappointing: small, food was so so, ... I visited it with my brother, that time we went on vacation together in the UK. I wonder if we missed out some hidden treasure...

3 - WASHINGTON, USA

More disappointing than London, it looked like a fake option, not much decorated, food so so... this is where our friend Davide was able to order Mongolian food by speaking in Italian dialect! Ahahahhaha!!!

4 - NEW YORK, USA

One of my fav! You walk down the streets and you smell horrible tofu, like at home!... nice spots for dumplings on the go, shared tables, old guys playing Mahjong and screaming to each other,... I love it!

5 - CHICAGO, USA

The most dangerous one to reach! I think the next time I'd go by taxi, as by subway it's just a second to take the wrong turn and be in an unsafe area... I remember doing some nice shopping here at a Korean store...

6 - SAN FRANCISCO, USA

The first one I visited with my husband, so lovely!

This is the most original, cute and well maintained I have visited. I would go back and back again!

7 - BANGKOK, THAILAND

At this point I was confused with the numbers! Aahaahh! This is an Asian neighborhood in an Asian country. What could be more sincere?!

8 - SINGAPORE, SINGAPORE

"The poshy spice"? I put this Chinatown into my fav top list. I loved walking around, looking at the shops and decorations, eating there... ok, maybe too touristy? But so cute!

Kuala Lumpur Chinatown

9 - KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA

I have mix feelings for this one. Chaotic, touristy, small... somehow very Asian and yet not so satisfying...

10 - LOS ANGELES, USA

I don't know... we just drove around ad didn't really find a nice spot that screamed: stop here, come to see or visit! it was looking like a very residential area.

WHERE NEXT?!
