Jay Chou* is a Taiwanese artist, dubbed the "King of Mandopop" for having sold over 30 million records, since his first studio album (Jay) in 2000. He's a singer, rapper, songwriter, record producer (JVR Music), actor, television personality, owner of a fashion brand (PHANTACi)

His second album, Fantasy (范特西) (2001), won five Golden Melody Awards, including Album of the Year. His combination of Western and Eastern music styles made him one of the best-selling artists in Taiwan.

After falling for the F4, I became eager to know more about the Asian music environment. Or call it: I wanted to know more about all these handsome Asian guys!!! So I came across Jay Chou, who was a seriously trained artist, with an interesting mysterious shade. Jokes apart, I really liked the fact that he was a rapper singer well educated to classical instrument.

He entered immediately in my mando-star-gods' list!
