TYPE - BOOK

LANGUAGE - ITALIAN / CHINESE

Back at the college time, ALL the grammar books were in English, French (or German?), but nothing in Italian. Everyone who knows me well, knows that I had to learn English to learn Chinese, as until then I had only studied French and Spanish, as foreign languages.

But then, luckily, professor Magda Abbiati, from Venice's University, came up with this good book!

As soon as I bought it, I read it all. By then, it was a nice mean to revise everything I had studied on the English grammars. Not sure it brought me some more knowledge than what I had, at the time, and yet it is highlighted and full of personal notes. I liked the idea of having a book written by an italian, like me, for italian learners like me. It meant also that the quantity of italian students dedicating to chinese learning were increasing to a significant number that made such a book finally needed!

The price of the book is fair, but also relevant for a student, therefore I'd say that if you already own another grammar book that keeps you happy with, you don't need this additional one, as it's probably not containing any unrevealed secret. However, if you're Italian and do not speak English well or do not have another good grammar of reference, get it and you wouldn't be unsatisfied.
